Are Wealth and Money
How many times have you used the word wealth to describe only material abundance or to describe someone who has a lot of money? We all have. You've probably said: "Such and so is very wealthy." |
Money is a means by which you exchange services or acquire material possessions. Being wealthy, on the other hand, is a much broader term. According to Webster's Dictionary it is abundance of valuable material possessions or resources.
Abundance of resources are the key words to consider. What are abundant resources and how do they translate to abundance and prosperity? Physical, intellectual, economic, emotional, relational, mental, spiritual resources all add up to a life of abundance.
According to Elizabeth Towne, the author of How to Grow Success and many other abundance and prosperity books:

True Abundance - Real Happiness
"Real happiness, of the abiding, growing kind, never comes as a result of fitting circumstances to your notions. It comes from fitting YOURSELF to circumstances." -Chapter XII
What the above quote means is that abundance as well as poverty are states of mind, ways of seeing yourself and your world. Your wealth or lack of it comes from what kind of beliefs - THOUGHTS - you hold in your mind, for they manifest in your physical world.
Therefore, prosperity comes from living within your present means in gratitude, recognizing what you have NOW. Knowing that by putting effort and proper thinking you can move toward your goals with confidence.
