Having a Vision is Crucial to Your Growing Success

Vision Boards Help
Hold Your Vision Firmly!

Vision boards, visualization exercise, benefits of visualization. Vision Boards help hold your vision firmly.

Here are two vision boards that I've created throughout the years. But before I go into the details please read below why having a vision ( on purpose, in other words deliberate) is so important.

Having a clear image of what you want in your life is crucial to creating your reality. Deliberate visualization will help you get from where you are to where you want to be. This requires mentally visualizing and there are exercises for doing that.

Creating Your Vision Board

Creating your board, collage or scapbook makes your mental image come to life. Why? First, the sole act of "searching" for the images you desire from magazines will help you realize what you want and what you don't and bring focus to your true desires. Second, placing your board where you can look at it often (preferably everyday as you begin your day) helps to remind you of the dreams you're aiming for.

Visualization Exercise

I made the first one (above) 3 years ago and it's interesting to see what has already become a reality in my life, in other words manifested.

The second board I made this past July (2008). This one was done with an interesting twist which you can try...it's easy and fun!

I had a house warming party with my friends and one of them organized an activity where we took turns cutting out pictures and messages from magazines and pasting them onto my board. Each friend would pick an image or message and say out-loud what they wished for the future in my new home.

Visualization exercise, benefits of visualization. My vision board, July 2008.

For example, one friend said: "May you find new meaning to your life in this home."

Another one said: "I wish you continue your path to self-awareness," etc.

Great Idea for Family Reunions!

I've done this exercise with my family on New Year's Eve as a ritual of gratitude for the year past and to welcome the New Year.

Next time you're with your family or friends suggest to them a visualization exercise like this one, you'll be glad you shared this with those close to you.
