Who is Romy Macias?
Hi and welcome! This is where some of the "behind the scenes" action happens. My name is Romy Macias and I'm the creator of this site how-to-grow-success.com
In case you want to know a little about me, please read on...
This is me, Romy Macias: mom, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, dancer, bach flower therapist, facilitator, entrepreneur and publisher.
I won't go into all the details, but I will share that my first major is in Education - career I put on hold immediately after graduation to pursue my real life passion - ballet.
I studied 8 years under the guidance of two world-class Cuban ballet masters and danced 10 years with the city ballet, here in my town and loved every minute of it! (Yes, despite the sore muscles and blistered toes). It was my dream come true!
Now, I am semi-retired (I get invited back to perform character parts) and continue to take daily classes.
Soon after retiring, I was back in school. Two years later I graduated as a facilitator (Humanistic) and plan to resume work towards a Masters degree in Group Facilitation, and possibly add body work studies, since that is my primary passion.
Ballet Giselle - Act I. Ballet Clasico de Queretaro.
All this, while getting married, having 3 wonderful children, which are almost all grown-up. (As a matter of fact, some of their
pictures are on this site!)
Here's my youngest son
hugging his Mom. So, as you can tell, for me, it's definitely about enjoying the journey. The destination follows naturally, right? ;-)
Fast Forward to Today
It has been, and continues to be, an amazing journey. In 2005 Elizabeth Towne's book How to Grow Success found its way on my doorstep after I became intrigued with the story of her life. That's her in the picture!
Her pragmatism and unique writing style really struck a cord as I read her first book, HtGS (short for How to Grow Success). It now sits close by, either on my night stand or next to my desk in my home office. I constantly go back to it for its comforting wisdom and practical advice. You can print-out your copy like I have in the photo. Just download your free copy.
Every time I re-read it, I get a new insight that sparks my imagination to do things differently and to shift my mindset. I am grateful to
Elizabeth's perseverance
and joy in spreading her philosophy. Now, I am doing the same!
I'll be adding more interesting facts as I continue to work on my site. If you would like to know how I was able to
build this site
with absolutely no technical skills (hey, I'm a dancer not a computer genius! ;-) ) and share my second passion - self-improvement and personal growth, with YOU click here.
Thanks for coming by. Come back often, there's always something new!
