    9. How did you feel spending all your money?

Knowing Yourself
Mind over Money

Finally, what did you learn about yourself with this money exercise? How has this exercise changed your perspective on wealth and money? After this exercise, what can you do differently in relating to money and how you spend it?

I'll share with you what I discovered about myself the last time I wrote out my own blank check. I found it revealing that I felt fear in raising the amount on my check. I kept going back and switching the dollar amount higher and higher. I then realized the amount I chose was limited by my own idea of what I deserved or perceived as possible!

When I began to spend it, I found it difficult to let go of all the money. I was continually tempted to save some. In real life it is wise to save a certain amount of your earnings - I'm not advising you don't, but for the purposes of this exercise it's important to explore how easily you let go of your money or hold on to it.

I also discovered that I could choose to appreciate the money I do have right now as I work on increasing my earnings and the quality of my choices on how to spend it.

I hope this exercise has been as useful to you as it has been for me. I recommend you go through it several times. I try to do it at least every other month to learn more about my beliefs and how to transform them into abundant thinking.

To your ever growing success,

Romy Macias
