Happy Relationships
How do you achieve successful and happy relationships? Elizabeth Towne explains.
Elizabeth Towne, author of How to Grow Success, loved to use nature as a way of making her ideas understandable and to "impress" them in her readers’ minds.
She tackled principles of success in all aspects of life: work, home, health, money, emotions but also success in relationships.
Here are a few of Elizabeth Towne's quotes where she uses her signature references to nature.
It is just as easy to grow success as to grow potatoes. Yes, it is easier: for success will grow out of potatoes, and it will grow where potatoes won’t.
There is not a spot on earth, or in heaven... that will not serve to sprout success in - not one. Success may outgrow a place and need transplanting; but it will sprout anywhere.

In addition to How to Grow Success, Elizabeth wrote more amazing books and articles which she published through her company The Elizabeth Towne Company.
Another well-known book of hers is Happiness and Marriage in which she writes some very controversial ideas (by 1904 standards) about relationships.
The first principle of happy [relationships] is equality. The second principle is mutual confidence, which can NEVER exist without the first.
Individual freedom is the only basis for harmonious action; not only in marriage but in all other relationships of life. And individual freedom cannot be granted by the man or woman who considers his or her judgments superior to the judgments of another.
The man or woman who knows he or she is believed in and trusted is very careful to deserve that trust. The sure way to have your wishes consulted is to exalt and appreciate the other party.
The Law of Attraction draws people together that they may learn. There is but one Life, which is growth in wisdom and knowledge. There is but one Death, which is refusal to learn.

I like to think of this story as Equality + Confidence (and Velcro ;-) ) = Happy Relationships!
