How to Find Happiness
Money and Happiness. There is the common misconception that in order to be happy you must have lots of money. Have you caught yourself thinking or saying: "When I make .... so much money, then I'll be happy," I've heard it said so many times. I'll catch myself thinking that myself from time to time. In reality, the amount of money you have has nothing to do with your choice to be happy. Money is necessary to buy many of our basic needs and some of our "wants", true, but you don't have to have a definite amount to find happiness. There are many folks that are happy with less money than others who have more. Just as there are people with little money that choose happiness, there are very "rich" people that are joyous as well. The common denominator is not the quantity of cash, but the quality of your thoughts and beliefs on how to respond to life with what you have and who you are. Living in the present and practicing gratitude is what makes for a happy living. Setting specific goals and smart goals increases your possibility of living with joy. Having happy relationships and healthy ones is part of having that joi de vivre (french for joy of living!) to ignite the spark of happiness.
