Dear Elizabeth Towne
Elizabeth Towne owned and ran her successful magazine "The Nautilus" for nearly 54 years! In addition, she was a national lecturer and healer, so people valued and sought her advice constantly. The letters you are about to read were written to her asking for her advice to different everyday problems... kind of like "Dear Abby" or "Ann Landers", way before they existed!
So you could say Elizabeth's column was a predecessor of the modern day advise columnists, such as Dear Abby, even to talk show hosts like Oprah Winfrey!
I recommend you start reading Mrs. Towne's downloadble ebook How to Grow Success as soon as you can so you can begin to apply the concepts and exercises Elizabeth suggests throughout the book. I would love to hear from you with your comments, insights and questions. You can do so by filling out the contact form here. Remember...
The time to plant YOUR success is NOW. |

Before we go any further, there is something I would like to bring to your attention.By now, you might have read the who's E. T.? page of how-to-grow-success.com and possibly the About The Publisher page, where I address Mrs. Towne's writing style. You will notice that Elizabeth Towne uses "men", "man", and "mankind" when referring to men and women.
Because this is a 104 year old treasure, I have avoided making changes to the original manuscript to the best of my abilities in order to preserve her work "intact".
Mrs. Towne was ahead of her time in her concepts and techniques applied to successful living and still is today. However, she did live in an era where it was common to use "man" and "mankind" to refer to "humankind" and so her writing style reflects this when using gender references.
Fortunately, this does not subtract from her powerful message. I highly recommend you read a few pages of the book first so you become familiar with her style of writing.
