Hello and welcome to...
The Nautilus Ezine
Self-Help Through Self-Knowledge
"Build thee more stately mansions, oh my soul!
As the swift seasons roll! Leave thy low vaulted past!
Let each new temple nobler than the last,
Shut thee from heaven with a dome more vast,
Till thou at length art free,
Leaving thine outgrown shell by life's unresting sea!"
-Oliver Wendell Holmes
Welcome again How to Grow Success readers. Yes, it's that time of the month again. Actually, I'm a bit late with this issue but I'll share with you below more on that...
So welcome to The Nautilus Ezine September 2009 Issue. Let's get started.
Just a quick reminder, if you're using text to read this ezine, for some reason the links in text format are getting cut into 2 parts.
The best way to tackle this is to switch your email settings from Text format to HTML format. If you can't then simply copy and paste the links to a new browser and voila.
In this issue:
1. Favorite Quote of the Month.
2. What makes you happy? Here are a few ideas on how to find greater joy in the small things.
3. Summer is practically over. Now that we're preparing to get back into our usual fall routine... make it special. Try something new!
Got questions? Comments to share? Suggestions for improvement? Use the contact page and drop me a quick email here.
1. Favorite Quote of the Month
My favorite quote of the month this time comes from Life Power and How to Use It also by Elizabeth Towne.
You stand in the Now. Keep your aim for the things of the Now. Thus will your aim gain accuracy and you will be ready for the Great things when they shall at last appear in the Now.
Where are you Now? Are you building bridges? Then aim to build this one better than any other was ever built. Aim to improve your work now.
I really like this part of the quote because it invites us to look at what we are doing today, not yesterday and not tomorrow, but TODAY.
Do You Build Bridges?
Do you build on what you have today from your yesterdays? Do you build relationships or do you tend to dismantle them?
Look at yourself closely... look at your friendships. What are they like? Are you a nurturing force among your family and your friends. How do people view you at work and in your community.
Time to take stock.
I try to take the change of seasons to look at what I have built and where I can improve.
Build into The Next Season
Summer is just about over and Fall is practically here. Sometimes, in order to build something new we need to make room and clear out the old.
As with Spring we do "spring cleaning," why not do some summer "clearing-out" to make room for the new season? Shake out those fall clothes and get ready to shed "clothes" that no longer are suitable for this coming season.
The metaphor here is to adjust to your NOW.
Aim to enjoy it all; for only as joy brightens you can see how to better your work and (your) methods.
-Elizabeth Towne
Life Power and How to Use It, Chapter IV
What's your favorite quote? Let me know. Drop me a quick note and I'll include it in an upcoming issue of The Nautilus.

2. What makes you happy?
- Dancing while no one is watching?
- Coloring with your child in his/her coloring book?
- Gardening in your backyard?
- Reading a story to you son/daughter/grandchild?
- Visiting with your best friend?
- Soaking in a warm bubble bath?
- Watching a funny or heart-warming movie with your family?
- Supporting a family member in launching their business?
Making the process of success fun and enjoyable is very important, just as the quote above states. As I mentioned at the beginning of this issue, it took me a bit longer to get this issue out because I was doing precisely something which makes me very happy.
Are You Curious?
You're probably wondering what is this thing that makes me so happy? Well, I was helping my daughter with her new business. You see, my daughter graduated from college a year ago and has launched her line of womens' handbags.
I helped her set up her stand at a week-long 12 hour days trade show. Yes it was hard work, but it was worth it!
I love being able to spend time with her and support her in starting a successful business venture.

Take a moment to remember what makes you happy and go for it today!

Ok, and now for the 3rd and final segment...
3. Summer is almost over. Make this coming fall special by doing something new and different that will enrich your life.
Speaking of new ;-) I've been trying out something quite different, at least for me, that is working so well I thought I'd share it with you. It's called EFT - Emotional Freedom Technique. It's so simple anyone can do it. Don't be fooled though, sometimes the simplest things bring the best results.
What is EFT?
It's a technique based on Chinese acupuncture and emotional healing. But instead of using needles or pressure as in acupressure it uses "tapping." Yes, you got me right, light tapping on specific points that have a healing effect not only on your body but also on a deeper emotional level.
This method is SO simple and effective it has been used on Vietnam veterans who have suffered years, in some cases decades of Post Traumatic Syndrome - PTS with amazing success. Some veterans have been cured with a few "rounds" of guided tapping.

The premise is that underneath most physical ailments there lie unresolved emotional issues, blocks that keep us from living our life to the fullest. EFT not only is being used to cure chronic ailments but more importantly it is used as a preventive
measure BEFORE dis-ease and trauma occurs!
I ordered the CD and its companion book about 2 months ago from Nicholas Ortner's site tryitoneverything.com and have been following the tapping video ever since.
Amazing Results
The CD's follows 10 participants during a 4 day workshop addressing each of their ailments ranging from chronic back pain, smoking and childhood traumatic experiences. A 6 month follow-up of 8 of the participants shows their truly amazing results.
I have been working on my unfounded fears of moving towards increased personal and economic success, and I will say that I wake up more excited about working on my site and my other 2 businesses, where before I wasn't that motivated to set higher goals for myself and business.
Try It On Everything
I highly recommend you take a look at this site. Can't hurt to give it a try and you may be surprised at how the power of tapping can change your life. Try it out for yourself. You have nothing to lose and a lot to gain!
Visit: TryItOnEverything.com . Read the comments of folks like you and me that are using this new way of self-healing.
That's it for this September 2009 issue. Thanks for dropping by and I hope you enjoyed reading this month's The Nautilus Ezine. See you in a month.
To your success!
