1. Favorite Elizabeth Towne Quote

This quote is actually a paragraph which you probably have already read from Chapter VI - United We Achieve, on page 21. It is well worth re-reading this chapter. Here it is:

Your visible self is a 'statement of beliefs.'

Quit saying ANYTHING in the future tense. Say 'I AM beauty, joy, whatever you want - I AM! I AM!' Stick to it until you have made yourself accept the statement.

That statement alone, lived on morning, noon and night...will move you to new ideas and activities - will open up the way for ALL those unseen beauties you so ardently desire to literally come into the NOW.

This is no frill on the garment of Truth - it IS Truth itself. LIVE ON beauty NOW and you will prove that all beauty IS now - that you ARE what you desire to be. You will find all you desire unfolding to your gaze, to ALL your senses.

Why did I choose this quote?

Well, for starters, this quote is full of truths sprinkled in each sentence. I for one, DO believe that what we think and believe reflects in our outer selves.

For example, if you believe that you are capable of doing something, let's say drive a car (very simple example) there is no doubt in your mind that this is true for you. And the result is that you drive yourself all over with ease.

But what happens when you believe that you're terrible at math (quite common)? What is the result with this thought/belief? That you have left no room for the possibility of being anything other than "bad" at math. You've already made up your mind!

The truth is that you most likely embraced this belief after telling yourself that you're bad at math many times over. One hundred times? A thousand times? Ten thousand times?

How many times do you suppose and over how long a period did you repeat this thought in your mind until it became part of your belief system?

So, the same holds true with other thoughts, thoughts of beauty, thoughts that open possibilities, instead of thoughts that stump your growth.

So are you beautiful and worthy of the best life possible?

I say YES! But it's up to you. How?
