4 Keys to Success
Part 5

As promised, here's Part 5 of your e-Course 4 Keys to Success.

Enjoy!

I'd like to expand a bit on Key #4 first.

"Goodwill must go out to all mankind, collectively and individually.

"A simple grudge is a 'worm in the bud' of your success. Send out such positive, definite, personal Goodwill that grudge finds no room to grow by eating out your heart and success. It is your grudge that has the power to destroy your success - your grudge against person, place, work, or 'fate.'

"Spray your soul daily, hourly, with goodwill; and withhold not the spray from your neighbor."

Here's a recap of what you've seen in the past lessons:

Your key to success.

In Part 1 of 4 Keys to Success you learned one principle to success, and that is that: Success is ALIVE! Our author, Elizabeth Towne uses gardening analogies to compare success to potatoes seeds. Because your success is constantly growing.

Success has a life of its own, it is like a small potato seed, planted in your head waiting to be nurtured. How do you feed it success-thoughts? There is limitless potential in these 'seeds'.

This is truly amazing because it is in our nature to grow and succeed. However, many times it's our negative thinking that gets in the way.

Now you can see success in a whole different way. And it does not mean that you won't have drawbacks or roadblocks. They too, are part of your journey. But it is HOW you choose to view them and what decisions (actions) you take in light of them.

So, you see success is an inside job as well as an outer, action-based job. Success is thinking and acting in a certain way!

Your key to success.

Here is the exercise I promised you in Part 1.

I want you to take your journal or notebook and sit in your favorite quiet place. And after taking 3 deep breaths, I want you to close your eyes and think about every accomplishment you can recall from the day you were born.

Here are just a few ideas I thought of that can get you start.

1.Think back to when you learned to ride a bike, or to skate, or to swim. That is an amazing milestone in your life.

2. How about your first day at school?

3. Your first best friend.

4. When you learned to drive.

5. Think of 5 major milestones in your life and know that you have come a long way to be here. This is really a gratitude exercise.

This can be a really powerful exercise to inspire you to "love your patch", as Elizabeth would say. To "hoe your hills with love" and get rid of those nasty "bugs"!

Our thoughts shape the way we view life itself and consequently the way we manifest our lives. You thoughts is Key #2.

Here is a clear example of what I mean.

Take dieting for example. We are so obsessed with our appearance that we forget the most important element which is not starving ourselves to lose weight, but to adopt healthier eating habits and lifestyle.

The same seems to applies to your thinking.

We want results only, no matter the means in which we attain them. I believe what goes on in our minds is vital, because the way we think sooner or later shows in our attitudes, behaviors and actions.

How can you practice a healthy mind-set?

What would happen if you could take one day out of the week, or a few hours a day to have a positive thought "diet", or a "loving thought" session. How about an "assertiveness thought" fest? Food for thought!

In Part 2 of your e-Course you learned that to be successful in life, not only do you plant the best potato seeds but you also need to plant thoughts that will help your "crops" grow to be successful. Your thoughts are the life of your success!

"Every idle thought will bring its meed of failure and subtract from money that might have been yours.

"It takes the finest seed potatoes, good land, and thinking to match, to insure a good crop and good prices."

In Part 2 you kept a journal of your thoughts: failure thoughts, self-defeating thoughts, self-condemning thoughts, success thoughts, self-encouraging thoughts.

Go back to your notebook and look at what you wrote. What kind of thoughts did you write? Next to each self-defeating thought write a success thought you would like to tell yourself next time. For example, if you wrote:

"How can I be so dumb?" You can write next to that thought: "Ok, I made a mistake. What can I learn from this? Do I need to apologize to anyone for this? How can I choose to handle this situation or a similar next time it arises?"

Do this with all your "failure" thoughts. Believe me, those are the thoughts which will help you on your path to success. Because you will learn and grow so much from them!

In Part 3 of your e-Course of you learned that you must love your work.

But if you are in a job you do not love, put yourself into it (until you do have the job you desire), like the man who owned the coal delivery business!

"A man's success is measured on the unseen side by the amount of LOVE he feeds his work with; and on the seen side, it is measured by money.

"... the amount of real love a man puts INTO his work determines exactly the amount of money he or some other man can get out of it. If he respects himself and the rest of mankind - if he knows that justice rules NOW, - really knows it - he will himself get the money."

In Part 4 of your e-Course you learned what the true meaning of success is - not the conventional definition.

"Remember, success is the liberty to command, coupled with a clear conscience and loving heart. In proportion as a man is possessed of Good Will his conscience is clear. Good Will is the outward - moving power of a loving heart."

Remember our potato patch analogy?

In Part 5 you discovered that love, expressed through goodwill are key ingredients to your success.

"A simple grudge is a 'worm in the bud' of your success. Send out such positive, definite, personal Good Will that grudge finds no room to grow by eating out your heart and success."

So let's recap - the 4 Keys to Success are:

Key #1 Success is ALIVE, it is like a seed. It grows, it is a process, a journey not a destination. And like a seed, it is easy to grow IF you know how. If you have the right "ingredients".

Key #2 The right ingredients are: "fertile" thoughts for the "seeds" of success to grow in. What does this mean? Success-focused thoughts that are followed my focused action. Your thoughts are very powerful!

Key #3 Put love into what you do, take action and success will follow.

Key #4 Goodwill is the outward expression of Love. Spread it around!

Don't miss out on this opportunity to have a life-changing experience. Discover, learn, and apply these Elizabeth Towne's principles and easy exercises to successful living.

To your success,

Romy Macias, founder of how-to-grow-success.com, elizabeth towne, new thought movement, law of attraction and prosperity.
